How to get traffic from forums ? you people might be thinking this is one of the dumbest questions ever to ask a webmaster ?I won’t blame you if you actually say these words.Everybody knows how to bring traffic from a forum to your website .I am not here to make a great revelation that will bring scores of traffic to your site .I just want to mention a point which I noticed while browsing in the forums and thought it may be useful to you also.

Just have a look at these threads in forums

1. thread1 ,which has been viewed 82,913 times at the time of writing this post and 813 replies
2. thread2 ,which has been viewed some 11000 times .

You can find many more threads like this out there in forums.I almost daily see somebody or the other commenting on these threads daily and the number of persons who have viewed these posts is also increasing day by day.What actually these posts convey to us ? You don’t have to have massive number of posts in a forum to bring traffic to your blog or web-site. Even if you have a limited number of quality posts and threads it is worth the thousands and hundreds of silly “thank you” ,”nice information” posts ,I see on these forums,which I,must admit, too tried earlier.These silly posts may bring traffic to your site in the short term but you won’t be able to sustain the traffic in the long term.What other benefits you will get by writing some quality posts in forums ? Your reputation will increase and people will think of you as an authority in that topic and may be some might naturally link back to you.You might actually be able to increase your affiliate earnings by directing people to your specific web pages by placing links in your thread. It’s just similar to submitting articles to sites like Ezinearticles.The point is there are many articles out there and yours might get buried in them .So if you post some quality thread in the forums you may probably get more exposure than due to submitting articles to directories.
