Ishant Sharma the new wonder kid?

ishant sharma

This gangling bowler from Delhi has announced his arrival on the world cricket stage with a terrific performance against the aussies in their own backyard helping India to once again stop the Aussie Juggernaut in it’s relentless pursuit of the world record for the most consecutive test wins .He has got the line and length ,seam and swing to trouble the best batsmen in the world .He just decimated the Australian top order and Apparently the world’s greatest batsmen had no answers for this guys bag of tricks and he was made to look like any other average batsman .He has used his height to great effect in extracting bounce from the pitch and this ability to extract disconcerting bounce from the pitch ,I think makes him a deadly bowler.

Though I don’t like the Indian cricket team ,it’s just a bunch of highly over-rated,over-paid perennial under achievers ,I should agree that this guy is different and he is quality and in the coming years when the so called stalwarts of Indian cricket will hang their boots this guy will play a vital role in keeping India’s flag flying high.I also hope the rapacious BCCI shows some sense and doesn’t overplay him and send him to the oblivion like Ajit Agarkar.

Australia whips India

cricket February 1st, 2008

Australia registered it’s first victory over India in a 20-20 match at Melbourne today and brought down India to earth .It’s nice to see the Australians getting back to their ruthless winning ways .This is what the future holds for India when the ,so called , big guns( Sachin , Saurav,Dravid and Laxman ) of India will hang their shoes ,and that time is not far off .I know our BCCI isn’t even bothered about it . Sharad Pawar and his cronies must be busy making the calculations how much it can mint money from IPL.It’s sad I couldn’t watch the match as I was studying .But the scoreboard tells all .The Australians have just butchered India .Keep the good work and keep teaching the BCCI lessons .
