It’s been a long wait,especially if you are a Hrithik Roshan fan, for the release of the historical Ashutosh Gowariker magnum opus “Jodhaa Akbar”.I think it’s been 2 years since “Dhoom2″ and we haven’t seen Hrithik in action except for that rather forgettable little cameo in that awful “Om Shanti Om”.I can’t wait to see him in the attire of the famous Moghul emperor ,Akbar.

Even though Ashutosh is a very great director I kind of have some reservations about this film setting the box-office on fire.As you see Bollywood hasn’t been quiet merciful on those who tried to have a poke at history ,be it Shahrukh Khan’s “Ashoka”,which was more of a sleaze show by Kareena and nothing else or the redoubtable Amir Khan’s “Mangal Pandey”,for which he prepared himself for 4 years growing his hair and moustache .They all failed miserably and didn’t even get critical acclaim also.But who knows there is a saying know “fortune favors the brave” and Ashutosh might pull this one off just as he did with “Lagaan”.I hope for the best and keep my fingers crossed .Waiting for february 15th ……..
